Over 40 years of development have been invested to ensure that iplicit software is not only a state-of-the-art, cloud-based offering, but is also a solution that is overwhelmingly sympathetic to the needs of the Xero accounting software user.
This results in a system that simultaneously recognises your frustrations with your current software while understanding the various nuances and features that made you love it.
The original Exchequer team spent 17 years providing leading edge accounting software to thousands of organisations. The founders of Exchequer, along with several key members of their original team, joined forces with Concept Software to create a platform that represents a seamless next-step for all users of entry-level packages, including those using Xero software.
Our dedication to your needs has not reduced the capability of our system though. Far from it; iplicit represents some of the best in SaaS, cloud-based accounting software for the small and medium-sized business.
We recognise that Xero is ‘beautiful’ and easy to use. We’ve built our award-winning software to be powerful and intuitive, but significantly more comprehensive and scalable than the entry-level finance applications in the market today. You already recognise the convenience of the cloud; our software exploits all these same benefits through a cloud-based architecture and is suitable for organisations with up to 500 staff.
iplicit boasts some important differences that make it a powerful alternative to Xero accounting software.
Firstly, Xero is limited to two accounting dimensions. iplicit gives you an unlimited number of dimensions, ensuring you have full visibility and the capability for analysis now and in the future.
The system is infinitely flexible, so if your company structure or reporting requirements change, that’s no problem. iplicit has no restrictions on use and no limits on data storage.
iplicit was designed from the start to handle multi-entity groups, intercompany transactions and provide automated consolidation within the platform. With Xero, you would need multiple add-ons or to extract data from multiple Xero databases to get the same information. Any multi-currency or group accounting requirements make reporting and consolidation extremely complex in Xero but this is easily handled by iplicit.
Xero users can integrate with other applications available on their marketplace, but if you want something different or have your own bespoke system that needs integrating with, you are out of luck. With iplicit’s open API (application programming interface) however, integration with other systems is perfectly feasible and our UK-based support team will guide you through the process.
Migrating from Xero to iplicit is easy because we have developed a streamlined process that ensures a seamless transition without the need for re-entering data. Our team of experts has extensive experience in migrating data from Xero accounting software to iplicit.
We provide a dedicated project manager who works closely with your team to ensure that the implementation process is smooth and hassle-free. Our migration process includes several steps, such as data extraction, data mapping, data transformation, data validation, and data migration.
During the migration process, we ensure that all your data is securely transferred to iplicit. Our cloud-based software is highly scalable and can handle large amounts of data, making it especially suitable for small to medium-sized businesses.
In addition to our expertise and streamlined migration process, we also provide extensive training and support to ensure that your team is fully equipped to use iplicit effectively. Our user-friendly interface and customisable dashboards make it easy for your team to access the information they need to make informed business decisions. Migrating from Access Dimensions to iplicit is a straightforward process that can be completed quickly and efficiently.
Our implementation and onboarding process is streamlined and process-driven to ensure we provide a positive experience to customers. Once we’ve implemented a client in one particular microsector, for example - University Student Unions - we record this process and map it out as it is likely the exact same sort of requirements as for other Student Unions. By accommodating to your needs and time scales, we can get things set up swiftly and do a phased implementation. On average, the whole process is just 16 days.
We then help you manage your data transition by providing guidance as to what data you need to bring across and provide import templates for all of your static data. At this point, it’s a great opportunity for you to review your data / cleanse anything you don’t want to bring across so you start with completely cleansed data. At this point, you can design the reports in whatever way suits you best.
The data transition is really important: iplicit is unique in that it has a data archive facility which allows users to bring across their old financial data, safely. Once all the data is migrated we’ll create a ‘sandbox’ so you can start using the system with your data in it and test features.
Once iplicit’s software is set up, our consultants continue to support our customers through the changeover. This ensures that the first month end and management reports are completed before handing over to our Account Manager and Customer Support team.
Pioneering biotech company, Mestag Therapeutics, whose main goal is to develop new therapies that transform the lives of patients with inflammatory disease and cancer, switched from Xero to iplicit's award-winning cloud accounting software.
"The team has not only increased efficiency and saved hours during the working week, but there's also no longer a need for additional expensive in-house support or external consultancy costs. We're delighted we made the switch to iplicit."
Eilidh Goodwin, Director of Finance.
When companies first start out, entry-level tools have been the answer to their finance tasks. But as they grow, they are increasingly discovering the limits these solutions have, and what was once a facilitator to their day-to-day responsibilities is now becoming a constraint.
Growing businesses typically require enhanced reporting, workflow capabilities and the ability to accommodate increasingly complex accounting requirements – all of which are all unavailable with an entry-level cloud accounting platform.
Your business has outgrown your entry-level accounting software. It's a good problem to have, but what do you do now?
In the past, there has only really been one option: keep struggling with the old start-up software until you can afford an expensive ERP system like NetSuite, Intacct or Dynamics.
But that could be a recipe for pain and frustration - and there is an alternative to waiting until your system is under much more strain than it already is.
