’70-80% of prospects have outgrown their systems’
Xplor Solutions UK had been on the lookout for a product that would fill a significant gap in the market.
“The majority of the prospects we speak to every day are using a small business tool and tend to have outgrown that system. Others are using legacy on-premises systems,” says Jonny Billington, UK Head of Sales.
“I would say 70-80% of the prospects we speak to are on one of these systems.
“These people are having difficulties every day with their finance processes. They’re facing massive problems with manual processes and have to manipulate their data in spreadsheets. Sometimes they even have to contend with system crashes.
“But the jump from that kind of software to a big-league ERP system is a huge one and most aren’t ready for that kind of investment. So they’re forced to continue with what they’ve got or take a sidestep into something that has its own challenges, rather than taking a leap that advances them.
“We knew iplicit was created to bridge that exact gap so we were interested.”
‘iplicit kept coming up in conversations’
“As a reseller, we have a duty to offer the products that we believe are the best for our customers, which helped steer us to iplicit,” says Jonny.
“It was coming up in conversations more frequently. It kept appearing on lists of growing companies, such as the FT1000 and the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50, was winning awards and being spoken about in the industry.
“The more you notice that sort of thing, the more you realise it’s something you should pay attention to.

Xplor Solutions signed up to iplicit shortly before a Partner Day, which saw partners briefed by senior leadership on the business’ strategy and plans for the product.

Xplor Solutions has become an authorised reseller, with its team trained and accredited, ready to implement the software.

‘Most customers won’t need to change systems again’
Xplor Solutions sees the potential market for iplicit as enormous – and Jonny believes customers will stay with it as they grow.
“iplicit’s affordability and rich functionality make it ideal for businesses that have outgrown their standard system but aren’t ready for the leap to a big ERP,” says Jonny.
“But now we’ve got to know the iplicit system, I’d have to say there’s no particular reason for most customers to ever move off iplicit as they scale. It’s so rich in functionality that a lot of customers will be happy to remain with it.
