Ocean Conservation Trust, a charity working towards a healthy, thriving ocean through pro-ocean behaviour and habitat restoration, has enlisted the help of a leading cloud accounting provider as it embarks on digital finance transformation.
The charity also runs the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth. It is partnering with iplicit to future-proof and increase efficiency in its finance function as part of a holistic modernisation project. Designed to improve reporting, integrate the charity’s multiple finance processes and reduce manual data entry, the new cloud accounting platform will create efficiency for the charity and help track all elements of the charity’s financial projects.
Its cloud accounting platform will deliver enhanced charity reporting, through improved project activity tracking and real-time visibility for budget holders. It will also deliver improved automation, such as streamlined invoice processing, electronic approval workflows, and electronic purchase orders, saving time and improving accuracy for the finance team.
Robbie Ince, Head of Finance at the Ocean Conservation Trust adds: “We consider ourselves to be Ocean Optimists, and as a charity, our ethos very much centres on solutions rather than problems. This is why we’ve chosen to work closely with iplicit on our digital finance transformation. The team has provided a robust, accessible solution to our needs, and a clear path to the cloud, with features that speak directly to the challenges charity finance teams face.”
“Working closely with iplicit to implement its cloud accounting platform is a proactive and positive step towards a more resilient, efficient, and future-proofed finance function for our charity. And one that will allow us to continue growing, scaling, and carrying out our essential work in the ocean conservation space.”
iplicit serves more than 38,000 daily users in over 2,000 UK mid-market organisations, including many UK charity and nonprofit organisations. It primarily serves organisations with legacy, ‘on-premises’ finance systems that need to transition to the cloud, or those that have requirements beyond entry-level systems and would prefer to avoid the expense and disruption associated with complex, enterprise-level solutions.
Luke McKenna, Sales Lead at iplicit adds: “We're proud to be working with Ocean Conservation Trust, an inspiring charity on a vital mission to protect our planet's blue spaces.”
“We hope that our cloud-based solution, which helps nonprofits streamline operations and manage funding transparently, will enable Ocean Conversation Trust to carry out its essential work more effectively, so that it can focus more on impact and less on admin.”
